March of Remembrance -- Memphis, April 16, 2015

Memphians remember the Holocaust and stand against anti-Semitism through a time of public prayer and commemoration

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- March of Remembrance – Memphis will hold its inaugural March of Remembrance to commemorate the events of the Holocaust, honoring those affected by it and standing in support of Israel and Jews worldwide.

The march is Thursday, April 16, 2015 beginning at 5:45pm. Participants will meet in the Kirby Woods Baptist Church parking lot, located at 6325 Poplar, Memphis, Tenn.

March of Remembrance is a connecting point for people everywhere especially

Christians who wish to observe the Holocaust Remembrance Day through public prayer and memorial events, primarily addressing the darkness of our own times by remembering lessons learned from the Holocaust.

The march will end at the Jewish Community Center, located at 6560 Poplar, where participants will join the 53rd Annual Yom Hashoah Commemoration that begins at 6:30 pm.

Participants are encouraged to bring their American and Israeli flags for the march.

This year, marches will be held in over 50 cities across the U.S., and across the globe on Saturday, April 18th and Sunday, April 19th.
